Rajvir (Raj) Madan made the jump from cosmetics to pharmaceuticals almost a decade ago. He made this shift due to a very personal reason, which was his mothers’ diagnosis with brain cancer which gave him the realization that he needed to focus his energy and skills on solving bigger and more worldlyproblems.
He has a personal purpose to “generate the future faster” by the application of data / analytics and technology to various opportunities in the Life Sciences / Pharma and BioTech space. Joe Pardavila, from Forbes, recently referred to Raj as the “Engineer with a Heart” as Raj strongly believes that transformation is about impacting both hearts and minds and this is why Raj not only spends time thinking about technology and AI, yet more importantly focuses on thinking about the problems, applicability and use cases such as drug discovery and development, personalized medicine, sales rep and commercial efficiency, etc. that can be solved through technology – ultimately he believes that it’s the intersection of picking the right problems and solving them with the right technology that ultimately leads to better outcomes for patients. Raj is also very passionate about cultural transformation as this is the key to applying AI and technology at any organization and spends a lot of his time here. Raj is also part of the advisory board of Onymos, a company that allows you to accelerate your application build. Additionally, he was an advisor at Deep Blue Analytics (now acquired), a boutique analytics solutions and business consulting firm with expertise in data mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science with a primary focus on the financial, insurance, retail, and technology/media industries.
